A heavy-duty tote with a two-tone design and unique V-shaped strap anchoring, the McCoy's Victory Shoulder Tote Bag combines vintage details with robust construction. The historical context of this item comes from wartime salvage campaigns, as American citizens were encouraged to contribute to the war effort by gathering scrap materials that could be put towards military production and help win the war.

To assist in this salvage effort, bags were produced to allow for easier and more substantial deliveries of things like scrap metal, and were distributed to the public through community groups and organizations like the Girl Scouts of America. This bag features a stenciled McCoy's design that includes the slogans "VICTORY IT'S IN THE BAG" and "KEEP 'EM FLYING".

It's made from a McCoy's custom heavyweight 100% cotton HBT fabric with a that's been rinsed for shrinkage. It's sewn together with all cotton thread and red cotton HBT straps, and finished with a custom McCoy's Red Cross Chapter woven label.
