Produced in Japan, Olde H & Daughter utilizes premium Banshu-ori fabrics from Nishiwaki City, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. These textiles are made traditionally, woven and dyed using the same regional techniques originally developed in the 1700s. This antique production is slow and deliberate, overseen by a small team of highly specialized craftspeople continuing a centuries-long tradition of local textile creation.

Olde H & Daughter is the sister line to Olde Homesteader, with a focus on luxury mid layers and knit silk garments. The & Daughter sub-label is knit and woven using the same vintage techniques and fabrics as mainline Olde Homesteader, but produces more contemporary unisex styles and silhouettes than Olde Homesteader's simple knit thermals.

The Spring/Summer '25 Pullover Sweater from Olde H & Daughter is without a doubt one of the best knits we've ever received. It's the ideal chunky sweater for warmer seasons, perfect for quick outings and mild weather, with an elaborate combination of knitting patterns and details throughout. The fit is great too, relaxed throughout, with dropped shoulders, loose ribbing, and a narrow collar with a classic crewneck opening.

It's made from a blend of silk and linen, the two natural fibres combining into an extremely luxurious and knit textile that breathes well and feels cool to the touch. Despite it's relatively average weight, the drape is exaggerated throughout — partially as a result of using a combination of silk and linen, which tend to have a more fluid motion, and partially from the very open and low-tension knit used through the body. The end result is a knit that's both soft and breathable, on top of all the fun embellishments.
