We've simplified the garden pants, stripping back all the embellishments (like the double knees, tool pockets, and hammer loops) and leaving only the important stuff: a two prong buckle-back, four roomy pockets, and a fit that could kill (because of how good it is).
These are an easy, unisex fit featuring a relaxed top block with a high rise, athletic thighs and straight leg that's just the right balance of being not too slim or too wide. The pockets are spacious and easy to access, and both legs have tool loops and pockets for actual utility, like to hold tools and things.
The fabric is an all-black 100% linen fabric with a decent heft and subtle texture. Blluemade's Linen comes from a carbon-neutral Belgian Mill that holds the Masters of Linen certification, and is woven from long staple fibers, making it naturally wrinkle resistant and strong - it's also soft, sturdy, and never scratchy. As would be expected of a linen of this quality, it breathes and drapes extremely well too.
The custom labels were designed by longtime Blluemade collaborator Tomo W. Adachi. The design was based on War Garden & Victory Garden posters from WWI and WWII (respectively). While the phrase at the bottom is a relevant spin on the Union motto "Labor is entitled to all it produces".
Fits true to size, but can be adjusted to fit slightly smaller with the buckle back. Blluemade recommends washing with LeBlanc linen wash and line drying.
