Taking inspiration from vintage Studies and Observations Group Recon Leader jackets, called One-Zero jackets, Mister Freedom's One-Zero smock is something of a spiritual successor to the extremely rare originals. Originally designed as rain jackets, the OG One-Zeros turned out to be too noisy for stealth missions, and were generally relegated to being worn around camp and turned into souvenir garments with custom patches and adornments.

Given that originals are ultra rare, a straight reproduction would be difficult, as private collectors are highly protective of these jackets, keeping them hidden away from potential forgers and the like. As such, Mister Freedom have created a more loosely inspired garment, basing the pattern off of a 1950s Belgian paratrooper smock and adapting it into a modified windbreaker. 

Besides the easy popover style, it's extremely functional, with two front pockets, two rear pockets, and two internal pockets for maximum storage, and a tall collar that can be snapped up for additional protection from the elements. Lining the back yoke is an ERDL camo ripstop fabric, evocative of postwar tailoring details on civilian and military garments alike.

The whole thing is made from a heavyweight 100% nylon twill, with no lining (save the ERDL yoke and cotton HBT seam tape) and a clean interior with fully finished seams throughout. Everything closes up with solid brass snaps, which have been painted a tonal black that will chip and scratch over time.

Wash cold on delicate cycle and hang dry in the shade.
