The Calico is a Freenote riff on the single sawtooth western shirt. Though it may be their slimmest fitting western, we wouldn't call it a slim fit, it just runs more trim than the more relaxed Modern Western Shirt. The athletic fit lends itself towards being tucked in, and looks great under a jacket, but the Calico relaxes well too - not being too long to wear untucked or with cuffed sleeves.
This batch is sewn up in a 10oz twill denim from Japan. Immediately soft and wearable, the fabric has been rinsed to account for initial shrinkage and comfort, leaving it perfectly broken-in from the moment you put it on. Over time, this fabric will continue to soften and fade, developing a handsome patina from wear and washing.
Japanese diamond snaps, curved pocket details, and the usual Freenote 1/8” double needle stitching all work together to make this your new favorite western.
