W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans.
A slightly more femme take on the classic muscle tee, the W'mens Tank takes inspiration from 20th century sleeveless swim tops, which "scandalously" displayed the entire arm. It's got a thick knit collar, wide shoulders, and a flat hem, with a slightly cropped torso for a more breezy fit - and carries the spirit of trailblazing female athletes that were bold enough to bare their entire arms 100 years ago.
It's made from a blend of 70% recycled cotton and 30% organic cotton, a highly sustainable combo, with all the comfort and durability of a 100% cotton knit (because it is). Weighing in at a comfortable medium weight of 300gsm, it's a really elevated take on an old school summer knit.
Fits true to size with a cropped body. Wash cold and dry flat.
