IssueThings is a brand worth checking out — it's difficult to find, especially outside of Japan, with fantastic design and a level of quality that exceeds our already high standards. Originally founded in 2020, their pieces are unisex, often coming in only one size and cut generously for a relaxed fit, with contemporary styles inspired by everything from countercultural youth movements to vintage military surplus.
The Type 72 Sweatshirt is a classic athletic sweat with a relaxed fit and sun-faded finish. Made from 100% cotton yarns, it's got a dense outer face and "dry" (unbrushed) terry texture inside, with knit ribbing at the collar, cuffs, and hem. The torso is wide, and the sleeves are cut with dropped shoulders for a more slouchy silhouette and unrestrictive shape.
It also comes with four different color sheets of iron-on letters and numbers, allowing you to customize it to your heart's content. You obviously don't have to, but we personally think it would be pretty cool, and even if you decide not to personalize the Type 72 Sweatshirt, the letters could be applied to almost any cotton garment you so desire.
