W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans.

The 2024 collection, titled Diesel Fueled Defiance, is inspired by women who were on the forefront of automobile racing during the Civil Rights movements of the 1960s. Facing down particularly fierce and widespread sexist sentiments, these women brought about advancement for all women through their relentless pursuit of speed and the feeling of adventure.

An ultra-utilitarian coverall-skirt, the Track Dungaree is a seriously engineered piece of clothing. It's got a full-length and flat hem, with five pockets including the large front pocket, adjustable shoulder straps, and an adjustable waistband. The fit is relaxed, and can be layered over light shirts as well as heavier knitwear, making is a solid garment for most of the year.

It's made in a patchwork of three different W'Menswear fabrics from this season - Japanese deadstock denim, cotton twill from Thailand, and Japanese check fabric. All three styles are a comparable weight and made from 100% cotton, so the drape is comfortable and consistent throughout. There's a custom woven W'Menswear label on the bib pocket, as well as custom W'Menswear Brand buttons at the hips.
