Produced in Japan by Warehouse & Co, John Gluckow garments are designed in collaboration with John Gluckow himself, a long time industry veteran and respected vintage collector. Each piece is functionally familiar but stylistically unique - not interested in simply replaying the hits, John finds weird, funky, and obscure styles that nobody else is making and rebuilds them to the highest quality.
The Hudson Shirt is inspired by band-collar work shirts from the 1910s & 20s, made from a very detailed yet tastefully-subtle cotton jacquard fabric. It's cut with a full body and curved shirttail hem that wears well tucked in, with tonal white shell buttons up the (slightly curved) placket and at the cuffs. The band collar itself is cut from a tonal cotton twill for a subtle bit of contrast to the more intricate body.
Woven with 100% cotton yarns, the fabric features two multiple different vertical stripes as well as a dot-print mini floral pattern. The jacquard fabric has a textured face and a dry, crisp feel throughout that will soften a bit over time.
