Mister Freedom's Sportsman Chinos are a take on classic American trousers, with some unique Mister Freedom details on top. Featuring a buckle back and straight leg, they have an unmistakable midcentury look to them without coming off as dated or costume-y. Metal “donut” tack fly buttons and flat-felled side seams add to the thoughtful & authentic details.
They're made from new old stock 2×1 denim twill with dark indigo warp and gray weft, milled in Japan by the famed Kurabo company. Lightweight yet sturdy, the 10.5oz denim features a crispy hand with somewhat of a waxy rigid finish. Even the pocket bags are made from a new old stock striped fabric, and everything is sewp up with 100% cotton thread.
Chock full of considered details, they've got straight side pockets and two welted rear pockets for storage. The buckle back is topped off with an new-old-stock French hardware. Lastly, the trousers boast a crotch gusset for a full range of movement and a combination of wide and narrow belt loops for a workwear feel.
These trousers are made from unwashed raw denim that is Sanfordized so you can expect little shrinkage. The waist and top block are generously with a high rise. The trousers come unhemmed at a 40" inseam. Hand wash or machine wash on delicate with cold water. Turn inside-out to avoid marbling of the fabric. Line dry only.
