Inspired by the first generation of fully button-up uniform shirts issued by the US government (previous models were pullovers with only half the front buttoning), Mister Freedom's Snipes Shirt is a fantastic military style work shirt. Featuring two large flap chest pockets (with pen compartments in both) and clean construction with heavy duty double row stitching throughout, it'll hold up if you need to do some serious work in it, and doesn't look any less good if you don't.
Though it may appear at a glance to be made from some kind of denim or chambray, it's actually a slubby lightweight HBT fabric from Japan. Made from 100% cotton, the outer warp yarns are a light indigo (which will subtly and slowly fade over time) with white inner weft yarns further adding to the light, summery coloration. HBT (herringbone twill), particularly in a light weight like this, breathes exceptionally well for a cotton fabric, making it an excellent warm weather fabric.
Everything closes up with navy blue vintage urea buttons, chosen to evoke old school USN chambray shirts. The sleeves are reinforced with large elbow patches, and the placket features white poplin placket facing for added structure and durability.
