The Sidewinders are Motiv's covertly adjustable trouser, with a generous fit and large inverted pleat. A partially elasticated band within the waist can secure to one of 3 different internal fly buttons, allowing for about 3" of variability at any time, completely removing the need for belt loops. Thanks to the stealthy design employed, the pants never look any different when fastened to different waist sizes.
They're cut with an old school fit - high rise, full top block, and a voluminous leg that tapers handsomely on the way down. The fold continues down from the large inverted pleat that sits on top of each pocket, giving them a more formal air that makes people think you're an intellectual (which you are if you wear these pants). For storage, you can expect the usual - two comfy hand pockets at the sides, and two welted pockets at the rear.
Made from a 100% undyed wool, loomed by Marling & Evans Mills in England, the variation in color and tone is achieved by hand selecting differently colored natural wools before production, giving the fabric a remarkable amount of character and tonal variety. Clocking in at a respectably heavyweight 500gsm, this is a tightly woven fabric with excellent drape and insulation.
