Description
Inspired by antique riding boots, the Rottweiler boots are cut big and tall. Featuring a high straight shaft with a reinforced top, they're packed with historical construction details - from the 360 degree flat welt to the split lower vamp. They're dragged into the modern era through the use of the Munson last, giving them a slightly sturdier silhouette and more contemporary profile.
Made from a medium-weight Italian horsehide leather, these hides are all finished in Japan before being cut and sewn into boots, ensuring that only the highest quality pieces are selected. Slightly less hefty than Rolling Dub Trio's Italian horsebutt, it's got all the luster and robustness without all the weight, developing a handsome patina over time as the leather wears in. The black dye applied during tanning only covers the surface of the leather, what's referred to as "tea core" - essentially meaning that over time the black exterior will wear down and reveal the natural brown interior.
They're finished with a standard-height custom Boots Factory heel and an all-leather outsole that will break in quickly and easily.
These are built on the Munson last. For average volume and D-width feet, we suggest choosing 1 full size smaller than your Brannock measurement. If you have particularly wide feet, you may only need to choose 0.5 size smaller than Brannock.
