Indi+Ash make some exceptional tank tops. Their interpretation of a traditional tank top comes with a breezy, relaxed fit, swooping curved hem, and a nice deep neckline with spacious armholes. Simple, comfortable, and durable, it does all the things a tank top should, and looks great doing them.
It's made from Kala cotton, a wild organic cotton from India that is grown without any pesticides, fertilizers, or irrigation - growing perfectly fine on just rainwater and its own natural resistance to pests and disease. Naturally short staple, a special finishing process combined with hand-weave produce a fabric that is soft, light and airy. The hand is cool and dry, wearing similarly to linen but without all the wrinkles.
The textured gray/black color is achieved with a combination of natural indigo and iron-based dyes, with the warp (outer) yarns being dyed with iron and the weft (inner) yarns being indigo. The end effect is a dark, highly textured fabric with hints and peeks of indigo shining through.
