Everyone assumes that modern socks are just blasted out by hosiery robots somewhere humid with cheap labor. The truth is that knitting machines are complicated, and required highly skilled labor to run; and that there is a wide spectrum of these machines in use out there.

RoToTo works with factories around the Nara Prefecture and Goryocho village. Sock making began there over 100 years ago with a single machine brought home from the USA. Every one of their socks are careful balance between yarns, machines, and craftspeople. Even the most state-of-the art machines require operators who understands the nuances of the product being made.

We offer free USA shipping on orders over $300 and on select items as marked on the product page. All shipping is via UPS, USPS or DHL (international only). If you need us to use a different courier for shipping, please contact us before ordering.

Orders to Hawaii, Alaska, AE/APO addresses, and PO boxes will be shipped with USPS. All other US orders will ship UPS unless otherwise requested.

WHERE WE DON'T SHIP

  • Due to our dealer agreements, Wesco items cannot be shipped to Japan.
  • We do not ship to Russia or Ukraine.

  • Exchanges or returns for store credit will be accepted on full-price items within 14 days of delivery (as verified by courier)

  • Items that have been washed, hemmed, altered, or excessively worn cannot be returned.

For customers in the USA, please go to our returns portal at for any returns excluding leather jackets and footwear. There is no need to contact us directly once you initiate a return via the portal.
