As a brand, they don't produce basics, they produce Grails - from custom fabrics to detailed embroidery & quilting, or hand-beaded designs in place of simpler prints or woven patterns, everything is elevated and interesting.
Inspired by a quilt top from the 1940s~50s, Bode's Patchwork Oxford shirt is a really fun piece of summerwear. The original that inspired this was made from scraps of different oxford shirts, with Bode's version using screenprinted oxford cloth and a quilted construction for the same effect. Featuring a permanent camp collar, the front closes up with just four large buttons, and the chest has a pocket (that can be hard to see because of the pattern).
Featuring a boxy, downright square body, Bode's S/S shirts are cut wide for ease of movement and breathability. Made from a lighter-weight 100% cotton, this shirt has a more starchy drape that will relax a bit over time, but breathes extremely well despite its quilted construction.
