11.11 is an exceptional label, with an ethos that strongly aligns with the S&S call to own fewer, better things — producing slow-fashion garments deliberately and sustainably across a network of local artisans and craftspeople throughout India. Everything they make is truly unique, with an undeniably natural and "human" element, from their patchwork and kantha embroidery, to the irregular nature of their low-tension handwoven textiles, to the tie-dye and natural indigo finishes, all of which will patina beautifully over time.

The Oro Sweater Vest is a button-up lightweight knit made from a blend of cotton and wool. Featuring a unisex fit, it's slightly cropped through the body, with a sleeveless torso and a V-neck, there's ribbing at the hem, armholes, and neck for shaping and variety. The pattern is varied across different blocks of the garment, giving a subtle but unique texture throughout.

It's entirely hand knit from hand spun yarns, making this a completely handmade garment. The yarns are a blend of 70% cotton and 30% wool, breaking down more specifically as 70% cotton / 15% merino wool / 15% pashmina (cashmere), all of which come together for a superbly soft and lightweight textile. The airy hand-knit pairs well with the cotton-wool yarns and undyed finish, making it an excellent warm weather garment as well as a valuable layering piece when temperatures drop.

It has 11.11's usual  small embroidered details, like the top button and the removable bottle with a tiny embroidered cloth inside.
