Product details
From Victorian era curiosities to early 20th century equestrian and motorcycle wear to rare WW2 era items - Black Sign garments are beautifully constructed, with a shared identity and aesthetic cohesion running through the collection to a degree we rarely see in brands focusing on reproductions & recreations.
The Old Man Jacket is a piece that does a really good job representing Black Sign as a brand. Inspired by a vintage Italian military hospital jacket, it's made from an extremely elevated loop tweed fabric, with slightly more formal details that blend the utility of the original garment with a casual elegance. Cut with an a-line body, it features a relaxed fit with a non-adjustable half belt across the back and a five button placket.
The fabric is complex, woven from a blend of wool, acrylic, and polyester, it's highly textured and irregular, with a visibly 3D element to it. Tonally ranging from gray to black, it pairs well with the slick cupro interior lining, which slides easily over any other layers and also feels great on bare skin. The whole thing is cut to a car coat length, with two slash hand pockets at the front, and a handsome open collar.
True to size with a relaxed fit. Dry clean only.
