Founded in 2011 out of a desire to create higher quality and better looking clothing for hiking, camping, and mountaineering, And Wander is lead by designers Keita Ikeuchi and Mihoko Mori, who previously worked together at ISSEY MIYAKI. Initially launching as a menswear label, they've since expanded their sizing to include women's and unisex offerings as well.
The styles range from the more casual to the most hardcore technical apparel you can find, with each garment including an illustration of 1-3 mountains on the tag that denote its overall "field level" of performance. Pieces with only one mountain are suitable for everything from the city to the campground, two mountains work for more intense hikes and outings, & styles with three mountains are equipped for the most serious inclement weather and seasonal intensity.
A very cozy and technical pullover, the Mohair Wool Hoodie is made from a blend of mohair, wool, nylon, and a little bit of polyurethane for a highly textured and exceptionally comfortable body. It's not just good-looking either, as the blend of different fibers is highly deliberate, giving the softness and insulation of mohair & wool the additional structure and durability of nylon and polyurethane — a technical fabric designed for performance.
It's got a relaxed body, with a quarter-zip placket and a full hood. The hem and cuffs feature a tighter knit ribbing, and the chest pocket (& elbows) are reinforced with the same high-density cloth as the hood.
True to size with a relaxed fit. Wash cold on delicate and dry flat.
