Another silhouette of Motiv's outstanding shirt patterns, the Mikhail shirt is inspired by and named for pianist Mikhail Pletnev, cut with a narrow mandarin collar, covered placket, and full sleeves. The chest features two welted flap pockets reminiscent of midcentury Chinese workwear, while the back is cut extra long, with double pleats at the rear yoke for greater range of motion. The sleeves are cut extra wide, with gathering at the cuffs that looks good worn plain, bunched, and rolled up.
This lightweight linen broadcloth is woven using fine count yarns at a very high density, creating a fabric that is light and airy yet structured and draping. An ideal summer fabric, the 100% linen yarns breathe better than cotton does, wicking moisture and drying more quickly as well.
