Product details
Warehouse & Co came about in 1995, as the final members of the Osaka 5, the collective responsible for driving the vintage and selvedge denim boom of the 1990s. Founded by former Evisu and Full Count employees, the twin brothers Kenji and Kenichi Shiotani, Warehouse is known for their meticulous detail and considered construction.
The Lot 1098 Utility Pants are a Warehouse repro of 1940s-era USMC herringbone trousers, with an excellent straight leg fit and two roomy cargo pockets for storage. Cut with a high rise, they feature a relaxed top block, lacking any yoke or structure beyond the waistband, will full legs that end with fairly wide openings for boots or sneakers.
They're made from an unwashed 100% cotton herringbone twill dyed in the classic olive drab. Clocking in at what we'd call a respectable medium-weight, they've got a nice structure to them, with a fairly dry hand that breathes well thanks to the herringbone weave. Over time (and especially with washes) the fabric will soften considerably, developing a more relaxed and fluid drape throughout, softening as well.
They've got classic 13-Star buttons, with two deep gusseted cargo pockets for storage, one on each hip, for storage. The raw fabric is expected to come in quite a bit after the first wash, but the trousers are cut slightly large to accommodate, resulting in a pair of pants that is true to size after a wash.
True to size - will shrink to tag size after washing. Wash cold and hang dry.
