Loopwheeled Sweatpants - Cherry
Product details
Some of the very best sweatpants in the world are made with loopwheeled fabric from Wakayama, Japan. 400 loopwheel knitting machines remain in Japan, with about 200 running at any time. Each machine can only produce about 12 meters a day, making any proper loopwheeled garments distinctly removed from the world of fast and mass produced clothing
These machines were the standard from the 1920's until the 1960s when higher speed (and higher tension) knitting took over for the sake of efficiency at the cost of softness and comfort. For their loopwheel program, The Real McCoy's designed their own custom 10oz fleece to be produced in Wakayama. This fleece is cut and sewn in Japan to their exacting standards into your favorite new sweatpants.
These sweatpants feature an elasticated waistband with a drawstring to adjust for size, allowing for a change in waist size of about 3" up or down from what our measurements show. Two front pockets give you a place to put your hands or any object smaller than a pocket, and elasticated cuffs so they look good with sneakers, or if you're like us, tucked into your engineer boots. They also gusseted the, ahem... crotch area... with a breathable knit for your comfort.
Fits accommodatingly, take whatever size you feel is best for you. These will stretch with wear and come back in with a wash. We recommend washing cold and laying flat or hanging to dry, but if you want to tumble-dry them, do it on low (and then be ready to wear them for a bit after to stretch them back out).
