Thanks to their unique design and shocking versatility, Samuel Zelig pieces have become a staple around our shops, easily worn as statement pieces or intermediate layers without ever feeling out of place.
Inspired by vintage knitwear from the 40s and 50s, it features ribbing at the cuffs and hems as well as a spread collar, and easy fit through the body. Not content to stop at just a nice fit and solid construction, it's been elevated with custom embroidery and felt trims across the front.
The Le Tourmet quarter zip is a phenomenal piece of knitwear, done up in a 15oz, 100% cotton french terry cloth from Japan - with a brass Riri zipper and chainstitch-embroidered elbow patches. The name comes from the felt patches sewn into the front, spelling Le Tourment, while the previously mentioned elbow patches depict a comedy and tragedy in spider form.
With a classic and relaxed fit, it's easy to style as outerwear or a mid layer depending on the season. The construction is solid, from the inset sleeves to the double-needle coverstitched seams and twill tape collar reinforcements, it's built to last a long time. After finishing, it's given a wash to account for initial shrinkage and to soften the fabric.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and lay flat to dry.
