A distinctly new offering from Freenote for Fall/Winter 2024, the Kamas Shirt is a heavyweight utility shirt inspired by vintage hunting apparel, with a simple yet durable design and two gusseted chest pockets. The back features a subtle western yoke and a large box pleat to help the whole thing drape as comfortably as possible without restricting movement.
It's my from a cotton / wool blend with some small percentages of poly and acrylic for durable that's woven in Japan. Thick and slightly scratchy, it's a perfect blend of solid and insulating, an ideal layering garment that looks and feels like a grail from the 70s. Over time, it'll soften up a bit too as the fabric breaks in, losing a bit of its stiffness and generally relaxing all over.
It's got great trims too, deserving of the fit and fabric - metal repro buttons, a custom woven label, and Freenote's usual 1/8" double neeedle stitching details, all made to last.
True to size with a relaxed fit. For a more standard fit, size down. Wash cold and hang dry.
