The Junk Force "Pajamas" are one of our favorite returning sets from McCoy's, and an interesting historical footnote in the Vietnam war. Taking inspiration from Vietnamese civilian clothing, specifically outfits worn by farmers and fishermen, the Junk Force set was made from a dark black cotton/linen blend and used by "undercover" US Military officers working to prevent the flow of material to rebels in the South of the country.
Somewhere between a shirt and a jacket, it's cut long, with an extended and relaxed torso featuring side vents at the hem for extra mobility, four tonal urea buttons, three bucket pockets, and no collar to speak of. The sleeves come in at a breezy 3/4 length, with patch elbows for extra durability, and everything is sewn together with 100% cotton thread.
It's made from a medium-weight 50% cotton / 50% linen blend, just the right blend of soft and breathable for hot (and/or humid) climates. Vat-dyed for color, the faded black/gray twill will continue to fade over time, gradually growing lighter in high wear areas and with washing.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
