Description
The Grafton is Freenote's take on a classic cropped work jacket — with a button front, two roomy pockets, a flat hem, and side-tab adjusters at the hips. It pulls details from a number of different places, with the double-front pockets inspired by vintage hunting jackets, a silhouette that borrows from mechanics jackets, and Freenote's usual workwear construction throughout.
This version is extra special, produced in extremely-limited amounts and only available at a handful of select retailers around the world. The all-leather Grafton took over a year to develop, as woven fabric patterns can't be repurposed for leather tailoring, and is made from a beautiful 1.2mm Maryam Tannery horsehide from Italy. The bright exterior is undyed, with extremely handsome grain texture and variety throughout — over time, this leather will continue to darken and patina considerably from wear.
Everything closes up with contrasting corozo nut fisheye buttons, which will develop a handsome (but subtle) patina as well. The inside is lined with a lightweight 100% cotton fabric for extra warmth and comfort, while the sleeves feature a silky cotton/rayon satin lining for easy layering.
Fits true to size with a slightly cropped torso.
