Founded in 2020, Mucha (C)arne is based out of Mexico City, producing unique and remarkably high-quality outdoor apparel from the best technical fabrics in the world. Their design is inspired by nature, not so much the concept of trees and animals, but the realization that "we" humans are part of nature as well. The Goldman Fireman Jacket takes its inspiration from vintage fire-fighting equipment, with a relaxed fit, heavy cotton twill body, and a unique quick-release magnetic toggle placket. It's a great layering piece, and was designed for extra elemental-resistance, with a double covered placket to keep you insulated from the wind, and a Nano-Wing finish to repel oil and water. There are two big bucket pockets on the front for storage (or your hands) as well as one more internal zip pocket for extra important things.
It's made from a blend of 95% cotton and 5% polyurethane stretch twill, but the weight and thickness of the cotton tone the stretch down significantly — the end result is a dense fabric that requires very little break-in, moving easily with your body despite its thickness. The Nano-Wing finish is not a permanent treatment, and over time this garment will lose some of its moisture-resistant properties, also developing a unique patina as the coating wears away.
Fits true to size with a relaxed fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
