Product details
1st PAT-RN is the brainchild of designers Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin, established out of their combined experience in design and fashion consultation. Their garments are laser focused on wearability and optimized for daily life. Kind of a strange sentence, because what clothes aren't? But it starts to make a lot more sense once you've tried on some 1st PAT-RN. Everything, and we do mean everything, from the fabric composition, to the cut, to the placement of pockets, is done with the wearer in mind.
Named for always stylish Bill Evans, this is the most pure of the Trad/Ivy styles from 1st Pat-Rn. It’s a simple buggy-lined , flap-pocket blazer that lets the fabric do the talking. Sweatshirt-comfortable while still looking sharp, it will only get better with age and wear as it shapes to your body.
To draw comparisons to other fabrics in our line-up, this knit is the professorial cousin of selvedge denim and loopwheel fleece. There are almost no machines left that can produce this particular fabric, and the few that remain can only turn out a few meters per hour. This low-tension knit is then brushed to give a buttery soft hand and ultimate comfort to the wearer. If you want a blazer that feels like your favorite hoodie, this is it. The gentle and airy hand is reminiscent of the best of loopwheeled sweats.
The notably angular herringbone knit is yarn-dyed, made with 100% virgin wool, and is sourced from a single old man in Italy. Variations in yarn weight, color, and the operation of the knitting machine result in a highly dynamic final product that differs slightly from season to season. These gray herringbone jackets come from the latest batch of the fabric, finished late last year, with a remarkably plush hand and high contrast yarn combination.
Fit is true to 1st Pat-Rn’s standards, running a little smaller than US sizing. Dry clean only.
