W'Menswear was founded by Lauren Yates in 2015, born out of a desire to produce high quality, heritage-inspired garments for women - with a nuanced and ever-evolving perspective on femininity at the intersections of fashion, workwear, military garments, and history. Originally operating out of a converting shipping container in Bangkok, the brand has grown substantially with each new collection, employing specialty and custom fabrics as well as partnering with local workshops & artisans.

The 2024 collection, titled Diesel Fueled Defiance, is inspired by women who were on the forefront of automobile racing during the Civil Rights movements of the 1960s. Facing down particularly fierce and widespread sexist sentiments, these women brought about advancement for all women through their relentless pursuit of speed and the feeling of adventure.

The Duffle Coat is this season's most serious piece of outerwear, with an oversized a-line silhouette and a massive convertible hood/shawl collar. The toggle front is asymmetrical, and hangs open comfortably for an even more exaggerated effect with the lapels. The hem trimmed with W'Menswear's signature pockets all the way around, and the body features rectangular padding with 80/20 down fill for insulation.

The brown tweed body fabric is made with a blend of 70% wool, 10% nylon, 10% acrylic, and 10% polyurethane - a comfortably warm and durable fabric reminiscent of vintage flannels and featuring a neppy herringbone pattern. It's a deadstock fabric, originally woven in Japan, with 100% cotton trims around the body.
