Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and the UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and very special brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
With a deliberate focus on highly specific and often obscure styles from the last hundred years, Attractions produce some truly stellar and unique pieces, occupying a stylistic wheelhouse closely adjacent to "biker" but plainly distinct from other similar repro brands. Inspired by the progression of youth culture and style, Attractions infuse their own perspective into both the pieces they design, and the ways they design them.
We love a good pair of pants with a crease! Inspired by vintage pleated slacks, these are an old school dressy trouser made more casual by its loose fit and slubby cotton fabric. They're cut with a nice high rise and relaxed top block, with fairly wide legs that taper just a bit down to a still fairly considerable leg opening. These pants take their name (and fit) from the four peats on the front face of the top block, which help give more shape through the hips while adding a touch of formality.
They're made from a lightweight 100% cotton fabric that Attractions say is characterized by its above-average weave irregularity. Made with a blend of charcoal and white yarns, the pattern is very fine, with the nature of the fabric's texture being indiscernible unless up close. At a distance, they just appear to have a subtle heathering, making them an interesting but versatile option.
They're finished simply, with all the details we'd expect and nothing more - herringbone twill pocket bags, a zip fly with hidden hook and button, four external pockets, custom woven labels, and deep pressed creases.
