One of our favorite pieces of all time also happens to be one of Indigofera's most iconic. Not surprising, all things considered. The Dawson Heavy Flannel is so much more than just a really nice flannel western shirt (though it is also an exceptionally nice flannel western shirt).
The standout feature of the Dawson, year after year, is the fabric. Developed by Nihon Menpu Mills in Japan in collaboration with (& exclusively for) Indigofera, it's a heavy selvedge flannel with a slightly irregular neppy texture. Always woven into a unique shadow plaid, it drapes comfortably and isn't stiff, despite the dense, thick fabric.
This years edition comes in an exciting brown/yellow/turquoise check plaid, that we've been calling mint chip. Lining the collar and cuffs is a chocolate brown corduroy for extra comfort, and the whole thing closes up with black pearlescent snaps which look very good, in our professional opinion.
Sewn up in a classic western shape, these are cut with a trim torso and are long enough to wear tucked in, but you don't have to (and they look great worn untucked as well). The pockets, yoke, and placket are all cut on the bias, for that proper western shirt look.
These run large, you may need to size down. Wash cold & hang dry for minimal shrinkage.
