Inspired by Mountaineering jackets developed during the 1940s and 50s, this particular style imitates the parkas worn by American mountain climbers attempting to scale K2. Since then, the style has seen mass adoption in both hobbyist and casual circles - whether you climb mountains or not, everyone seems to agree that this jacket is warm and comfortable.
Sewn up with a 60% cotton 40% nylon outer shell, it features square quilting and a French duck down filling that provides exceptional insulation to the wearer. The inside is lined with a nylon ripstop for extra durability, with additional nylon ribbing at the cuffs. The fit can be tweaked with internal drawstrings at the hem, waist, and hood, while the hood's depth can be altered with a belt at the back.
The trims are predictably stellar, with tonal military buttons, an aluminum alloy #7 Wire Front Zipper, and two large front pockets with separate top and side entrances (giving you four pockets packed into the space of 2).
