11.11 is an exceptional label, with an ethos that strongly aligns with the S&S call to own fewer, better things — producing slow-fashion garments deliberately and sustainably across a network of local artisans and craftspeople throughout India. Everything they make is truly unique, with an undeniably natural and "human" element, from their patchwork and kantha embroidery, to the irregular nature of their low-tension handwoven textiles, to the tie-dye and natural indigo finishes, all of which will patina beautifully over time.
The Bandhani Scarf features a mini-tie dye design, a technique called Bandhani in India. The body is dyed with a natural indigo dye, giving it a beautiful royal blue color that will gradually fade over time (alongside clamping the item in specific areas to avoid dye, creating the grid pattern).
It's more of a bandanna than a full scarf, measuring 22" across by 22" long, but features reinforced edges to compliment the 100% silk body. Specifically, 100% mulberry silk, which is an extremely high quality silk produced from a specific species of domesticated silkworm that's extremely soft and comfortable on skin, with a really pleasant hand.
One size. Due to the hand-dyed nature of this item, no two will be exactly alike, and your scarf may not look exactly like what we have photographed (though it will be quite similar). Hand wash cold and hang dry.
