The Aviator Whistle is a McCoy's reproduction of WWII-era "Ditch" whistles, employed by downed pilots to signal for aid, as well as various Officers and Military Police who needed a way get people's attention with a loud noise. Another McCoy's up-spec reproduction, their version is made from solid brass, giving it a more prominent and full shine when compared to the originals, which featured nickel plating.

The chain features all iron links for maximum durability, and the ball is made from soft wood for the most organic and old-timey whistle sound. Each whistle also comes with a branded The Real McCoy's storage box. Over time, the black painted finish will chip and age off, revealing the brass core beneath.
