Since its founding 2001, designer Hiroki Nakamura's Visvim has built an extremely dedicated cult following. With a laser focus on crafting unique and high quality "future vintage" garments, Visvim has gained international acclaim over the past two decades for their unique perspective and exceptional design.
Not limited strictly to workwear or couture, they produce Folkwear, inspired by regional and historical manufacturing techniques from mud-dyeing to crocheting, with collections that build off of each previous year and develop holistically, season after season.
The Visvim Carroll Pants are a low key casual pant taking inspiration from vintage racing trousers (motorcycles and cars, not horses). They've got an easy fit, with a high rise and relaxed top block, and full legs that taper down to a shirt-sleeve-cuff that can be cinched down with buttons or worn open for a more relaxed vibe. The waistband is partially elasticated, easily and handsomely fitting a wide variety of different body types.
They're made from a long staple 100% cotton chino cloth - it's tightly woven but lightweight, a comfortable and suitable fabric for the majority of the year. They've got a wonderful blend of structure and drape, moving easily with you and requiring no break in. After finishing, each pair is given a rinse to account for initial softness and shrinkage as well, so you won't need to worry about those.
The hardware is all custom, with a Visvim brass zipper and water buffalo horn buttons at the waist, back pockets, and hems. Speaking of pockets, these are rocking two roomy bucket pockets at the front with reinforced openings and two flap pockets at the back, as mentioned previously, so you'll be able to stash your phone, wallet, keys, and hands (if you want).
