The Californian Outlaw is a twist on Mister Freedom's own Lot 64 cut. Inspired by the details of 1950’s blue jeans, but dragged forward into the 1960’s with additional leg taper and a little less rise. In the Outlaw edition, Mister Freedom introduces some western details, like the iconic "frogmouth" type pocket opening.
The Outlaws are made from new old stock sanforized Cone Mills denim, so you shouldn't expect any major shrinkage with these. The Mister Freedom attention to detail is present all the way through these, just like every pair. Featuring a whooping 12 different thread changes, these are a highly intensive pair of pants to make, utilizing a shocking variety of thread gauges and classic colors.
All of the classic jean details are there with these. They feature the traditional five-pocket configuration, with selvedge coin pocket and unmarked copper rivets at the stress points. Hidden back pocket rivets help keep your furniture safe and a vegetable tanned leather back patch shows off MF's custom flasher stamp.
The Californian Outlaw is made from unwashed 14oz sanfordized denim, which will render little shrinkage after a cold wash. They run true to size, but can be downsized for a more snug fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
