Product details
Dating back to 1933, the "Joseph Buegeleisen Co." in 1933 were specialists in motorcycle accessories and saddlebags. In 1947, they launched "Buco", a full apparel line with the slogan: “Motorcycle jackets, gloves, caps, belts and bags all cut and sewn by life long craftsmen dedicated to the task at hand”. The Real McCoy's purchased the Buco license and continues to produce goods that live up the original standard.
A highly authentic and minimal coach's jacket, the McCoy's version is an archetype of the style. Cut with a relaxed body and easy fit that pairs equally well with sweatpants or denim, it's the sort of classic jacket that you can put on without thinking too much about, and live comfortably in.
It's sewn up in two layers, with the shell being made from McCoy's custom heavy Nylon, a remarkably soft and sturdy fabric that will hold up for years and years and then lined with a brushed cotton flannel. Worn open, it breathes well and layers easily in warmer and colder seasons. Snapped closed, you can enjoy the insulating properties of flannel and the wind resistance of nylon. Win-win.
The rest of the details are minimal and classic - with custom tonal DOT snaps that close up the front, two welted pockets for your hands, elasticated cuffs, and an optional drawstring for the waist. The front and back feature custom Buco Engineers logos in a contrasting pale yellow.
Fits true to size. Spot clean or dry clean only.
