Originally founded in 2006, Attractions began as a vintage reseller, importing pieces from the United States and the UK before starting their own production in 2011. Their experience in the vintage world provided them with the knowledge and inspiration necessary to develop their own styles, growing into an impressive and very special brand in a market saturated with alternatives.
With a deliberate focus on highly specific and often obscure styles from the last hundred years, Attractions produce some truly stellar and unique pieces, occupying a stylistic wheelhouse closely adjacent to "biker" but plainly distinct from other similar repro brands. Inspired by the progression of youth culture and style, Attractions infuse their own perspective into both the pieces they design, and the ways they design them.
This is a classic, old school workwear chore coat, with the type of details we wish we saw more of (the buttons have little trains on them). It's got a relaxed fit through the body, with an a-line silhouette, and a slightly shorter torso. Featuring a standard three pocket configuration, it's a simple and functional outer shell with heavy duty construction and a premium fabric.
Made from a 100% cotton moleskin fabric, with a high density weave and fairly rigid temper. The brushed finish applied to the moleskin gives it a surprisingly soft texture, however, making it comfortable in addition to hard-wearing. Over time, the moleskin fabric will break-in, relaxing and developing a more gentle drape throughout, settling into the shape of the wearer's body.
It's finished with some seriously impressive and meticulous construction - single, double, and triple-row stitching close up the various seams and edges, with all black cotton #30 yarns. As mentioned above, the tonal black buttons feature locomotive motifs on their face, and will also patina over time.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
