Since 2006, Mountain Research has been delivering some of the best outdoor wear around – both in style and function. The brainchild of Japanese designer Kobayashi Setsumasa, the brand has a singular focus on outdoor life without falling into any of any stereotypical ravines of the style. Kobayashi takes inspiration from the golden age of outdoor wear, military and naval designs, as well as modern mountaineering gear. Altogether, it refers to itself as ‘Anarcho Mountaineers.’

The Baggy Shorts are feature an integrated nylon drawstring belt that give them an unmistakable hiking short look. The mid rise and full fit of the leg make them a comfortable short that is well suited to getting outside and moving. With a classic Mountain Research twist, the fabric choice elevates these to something truly special.

Made from a 100% merino wool in a muted Prince of Wales Check. Merino wool is ideal for outdoor wear, lightweight, insulating while still breathable, and quick drying too. These have two front side pockets along with two back pockets.

True to size with a relaxed fit. Hand wash cold and hang dry or dry clean.
