At long last, Freenote has a proprietary denim that's here to stay. Developed by Freenote and produced by Kaihara Mills in Japan, this is a 100% cotton, indigo-dyed 14.5oz Japanese selvedge denim. Woven at high tension, the outer warp threads feature a dark indigo dye, while the mostly obscured inner weft threads are white - giving the jeans an especially dark appearance initially, but leading to more dramatic fading as the white threads start to become visible beneath the indigo.
The Avila is a fantastic example of a slim-tapered jean that looks and feels good to wear. With a comfortable top block that leaves enough room in the waist and thighs & a clean taper that ends in a leg opening still big enough to fit over most boots, the Avila is one of our top recommendations to anyone looking for slimmer jeans.
