Austin Shirt - Burgundy Nubuck

The Austin Shirt is one of our favorite types of leather garments - the versatile mid layer. It's cut with subtle Western details, and wears well as outerwear or tucked beneath a heavier jacket. The yoke is subtle and slightly rounded at the front and back, with single point flap chest pockets and a partial lining through the placket, cuffs, and yoke. Everything closes up with black and brass snaps, which are particularly noticeable where they're tripled up at the cuffs, for style.
It's made from a remarkably soft cowhide nubuck, an extremely tight-napped leather similar to a suede. It's got a rich burgundy finish, with beautiful tonal highs and lows that shift quite dramatically in the light, and promise to wear down handsomely over time. It's an easy, and supple leather that requires virtually no time to "break-in" for comfort, though it will still take the shape of the wearer's body over time, relaxing naturally into the shape it's most commonly draped around.
It's cut with a relaxed fit that can layer over another shirt or flannel without any problem, and sewn up meticulously with tonal thread for a more subtle finish. The final few trims are also of a quality worth mentioning, from the custom woven labels to the branded copper rivets reinforcing the cuffs and side seams.
