Since its founding 2001, designer Hiroki Nakamura's Visvim has built an extremely dedicated cult following. With a laser focus on crafting unique and high quality "future vintage" garments, Visvim has gained international acclaim over the past two decades for their unique perspective and exceptional design.
Not limited strictly to workwear or couture, they produce Folkwear, inspired by regional and historical manufacturing techniques from mud-dyeing to crocheting, with collections that build off of each previous year and develop holistically, season after season.
A truly heritage garment, Visvim's Amplus V-Neck is a slouchy and entirely hand-knit sweater. Done up with a relaxed fit, featuring a roomy chest, dropped shoulders, and a vintage-length torso, it's a great layering piece, especially when temperatures drop, thanks to the chunky wool knit.
It's initially quite stiff and heavy, being made from very robust wool yarns, with a fit that almost requires breaking in before it starts to move with you. It's got the temperament and weight of an antique fisherman sweater, with a more casual v-neck fit and all black finish.
Fits true to size. Spot clean or hand wash and dry flat.
