The 50's Milano Shirt is one of the best casual summer shirts on the market right now. A stellar combination of handsome design and high quality craftsmanship, they combine a slightly exaggerated and oversized fit with soft hot-weather fabrics, perfectly harmonizing into an ideal relaxation shirt. Featuring an Italian collar that can be worn open or buttoned all the way, it's got a straight yoke, set in sleeves, and double-needle flat felled seams for extra durability, with a pleated back for additional shaping and drape.
The chest has two flap-covered bucket pockets, which are great for tucking away sunglasses or storing small objects while on the go. The front closes up with military grade melamine buttons, which are durable as hell in addition to being lightweight like the fabric they're sewn into.
Dupion (also known as "Dupioni" silk) is a uniquely-textured 100% silk fabric that combines very fine outer threads with irregular inner threads to create a highly varied weave. More specifically, the larger inner yarns are spun from merged silk cocoons, resulting in chunky, slubby yarns that stick up from the face of the weave, imbuing the fabric with a texture that is both visual and tactile. It's soft and airy, with a smooth hand (it is silk, after all) and a gentle luster throughout, making for a comfortable summer fabric.
Cut oversized for a relaxed and slouchy fit. Wash cold and hang dry.
