The warmest loopwheel knit we've ever encountered, made from a blend of cotton and wool that wears like your favorite hoodie and insulates like your favorite wool sweater. Heavier-duty than the standard 11oz loopwheel, these feature a thicker grade of thread stitching them up, and are built like absolute tanks.
The fabric is remarkable, produced on vintage loopwheel machines - featuring all cotton threads for the outside face of the fabric, providing a sturdy, strong shell, while the inside fleece threads are all wool, making these seriously warm. Clocking in at a respectable 13oz, it's thick and durable without being hard to move around in.
The pattern is based on the after-hooded sweatshirts of the 1930s. Though the fabric is loopwheeled, side seams have been added, and the underarms are gusseted for ease of movement. The wool content and loopwheel knit make this fabric particularly prone to shrinkage when washed, so the side seams were added to provide stability and reduce the impact of unanticipated shrinkage.
Fits true to size for a relaxed fit, size down for a more snug fit. Dry clean or spot clean only - these will shrink if you wash them with water.
