Product details
With a stylistic focus that zooms in on the era where denim transitioned from "workwear" to a casual fabric, Fullcount were the first brand to start making their denim from hand-picked Zimbabwean cotton, which is famous for its long staple length (granting it both greater softness and durability than short staple cottons).
A proper country garment, Fullcount's Farmer's Trousers are an extremely handsome and classic pair of pants remade seasonally from different fabrics. The fit is old fashioned, with a relaxed top block and high rise, full thighs, and wide straight legs that end in a permanent cuff. They've got a classic four pocket configuration, with slash pockets at the front and welted pockets at the rear, as well as internal suspender buttons for if you felt fancier than just wearing a belt.
They're made from a 100% cotton indigo wabash fabric with a washed finish and custom distressing throughout. One of America's oldest and most iconic workwear designs, indigo wabash fabric is produced through discharge printing, a type of resist-dyeing that creates the signature dotted lines of wabash by preventing pigment from bonding with those spaces. As a brand new fabric, it tends to be very dark, and is one of the slowest fading indigo textiles in our experience, certainly when compared to denim at least.
The thoroughly washed body fabric is a comfortable medium weight and requires virtually no break in at all. It's immediately soft and relaxed, as the various fading and distressing techniques applied perfectly wear in the fabric without damaging it, giving you a brand new pair of pants that look like they came out of a mineshaft and feel like you've been wearing them for months.
Finished with a zip fly, the fading and stains were all added during production, designed to most accurately replicate worn samples from Fullcount's archives.
Runs slightly small. Wash cold and hang dry.
