Product details
All of the Real McCoy's flagship leather jackets are made at their headquarters in Kobe. Before sewing begins, the custom-tanned horsehide is cut very carefully to avoid thin or damaged areas as part of their obsessive quest to make a jacket that will last more than a lifetime. From the hand-cut horsehide pieces, one highly trained craftsman makes each jacket start-to-finish, moving from station to station with their work.
With a design inspired by denim jackets from the 1930s, The Real McCoy's have produced this classic Type-I jacket out of a custom black tea core horsehide leather. It's complete with all the OG details, from the double-pleated front placket, to the single chest pocket, to the copper rivet reinforcements and buckle back.
The donut buttons are custom as well, with Joe McCoy branding that will also tarnish and patina over time, developing unique wear alongside the leather body. It's sewn up with 100% cotton thread that will wear down more quickly for a more authentic aging process.
These run true to size. Spot clean.
