Produced in Japan by Warehouse & Co, John Gluckow garments are designed in collaboration with John Gluckow himself, a long time industry veteran and respected vintage collector. Each piece is functionally familiar but stylistically unique - not interested in simply replaying the hits, John finds weird, funky, and obscure styles that nobody else is making and rebuilds them to the highest quality.
The Heater Shirt is an exceptional heavyweight flannel, cut from a super soft blanket-like cotton. The fit is simple and classic: wide chest, rounded hem, full sleeves, and two bucket pockets on the chest. Easy to wear, it's just right for layering, fitting over tees and under jackets without issue, just like a flannel should.
Made from a 100% cotton flannel, the pattern (and density) is reminiscent of vintage horse blankets, brushed soft with a fairly structured drape thanks to its thickness and weight. Immediately comfortable, it will "break-in" over time, relaxing into the shape of the wearer's body and somehow becoming even more pleasant to wear.
It's got some pretty classic workwear details, gussets at the sides of the hem, chainstitch runoffs, and a pen slot in the left pocket. The heavy fabric necessitates heavy construction - with flat felled seams and double-row stitching throughout, and handsome marbled buttons up the placket and at the end of the cuffs.
Fits true to size. Wash cold and hang dry.
