Indi + Ash create extremely thoughtful garments, employing a variety of traditional manufacturing techniques and reinvesting profit into the artisans responsible for their production, as well as the communities they live in. From hand-weaving to hand-knitting, traditional dyeing methods, and atelier-style production, they work to create truly unique and beautiful pieces that highlight the skill and history of the craftspeople who make them.

Inspired by vintage French work jackets, the Study Coat is an exceptionally comfortable and handsome unstructured blazer. With fully finished flat-felled seams throughout, the the fit is enhanced through the tailoring, featuring a casual square hem and long darts down either side of the placket. The minimally structured collar leans toward being worn up, but still folds down nicely should you want to dress the jacket up a bit.

It's made from "military herringbone" twill, handwoven with hand-spun 100% cotton yarns, it's an extremely textured and slubby fabric with a soft hand and phenomenal drape. Completely undyed, the natural cotton is a warm ecru tone that will darken and patina over time like a painter's canvas. The low-tension hand weave gives the fabric its unique and uneven texture, and the herringbone pattern breathes easily in hot and humid weather.

The whole thing closes up with tonal horn buttons that compliment the fabric in both color and texture. Two patch pockets sit on the front of the jacket above the hem, with a single chest pocket on the outside and another on the inside for secret storage.
