Taking inspiration from vintage French sportswear (as the name implies), this jacket is surprisingly evocative of more modern type-III jackets and denim outerwear from the midcentury. It's got an easy fit, with a relaxed chest and a slightly-cropped torso that pairs really well with high-rise trousers — the placket curves outward at the top, letting the collar sit open more naturally, and the hem is slightly gathered at the central back to allow for a bit more room to move around in.
The leather is a 1.3mm full grain steerhide roughout suede (that's a mouthful) - this is the reverse side of Y'2's oiled steerhide. Ultra soft and supple, this leather requires virtually no break-in whatsoever. It's dyed a deep navy blue, with a ton of tonal depth - this leather absolutely pops in just about any lighting, but it looks especially incredible in sunlight.
For storage, it's got two flap pockets on the upper chest, and that's it. Everything closes up with bright corozo nut buttons, from the asymmetrical hem opening to the pockets and cuffs. Inside, it's lined with a soft and smooth 100% cupra fabric through the body and sleeves, making for easy layering and sitting comfortably on bare skin.
