Product details
The OG107 is one uniform which has stood the test of time during its military career, as well as its second life as a classic piece of menswear. Originally developed in 1952, the Olive Green shade 107 cotton ‘utility uniform’ or ‘OG107’ as it came to be known, is the classic example of military ‘fatigues’. Called such because they were worn during fatiguing duty, they stayed in service for decades after their implementation (although went through a subtle modification or two).
One such modification came in 1964, when further changes were made to the utility shirt - including the introduction of pointed pocket flaps and concave dull plastic buttons, this came to be known as the Type III.
They're sewn up from a custom 100% cotton sateen fabric, developed by The Real McCoy's to match vintage military specifications, and produced to the highest standards in Japan. Over time, this fabric will wear and age exactly like the original did - combined with McCoy's painstaking stitch-for-stitch method of reproductions, this is the closest you can get to an original, brand new 1964 type 3 utility shirt.
Fits true to size. To get the most life out of your garment and reduce shrinkage, we suggest washing cold and hanging to dry.
